Video clips from YouTube
There are number of YouTube clips that are useful in teaching Religious Education . Video clips can be used to engage students and/or deliver specific learning outcomes. The YouTube clips below are an example of clips that could be shown in the Religious Education classroom.
The first YouTube Clip is a documentary on Judaism. This would be particularly useful for teaching Judaism as part of Section C(World Religions).
The second YouTube Clip could be used to teach students about the work Trocaire do. The video tells the story of community life and the Paraja people in Odisha, India where Trocaire works.
The third YouTube Clip compares a Catholic Church and an Islamic Mosque. This clip is useful for teaching worship as part of Section E(The Celebration of Faith).

Channel Four Documentaries
Click the image below to get a link to a Channel 4 series of documentaries on the Islamic Pilgrimage Hajj. These documentaries are particularly useful for teaching two parts of the course; Section C(World Religions) and Section E (The Celebration of Faith).

BBC Learning Zone provides short videos for use in a range of subjects including Religious Education. This videos have been been selected to match the GCSE curriculum but the majority of the videos can still be used to teach Junior Certificate Religious Education.
